Loft insulation

What is loft insulation and what are the benefits?

Using a simple analogy, if we as humans do not wear any clothes in winter we will get cold. Think of loft insulation as a hat that captures the heat thus stopping us getting cold. Without it the heat simply escapes to the outside. The minimum requirement under building regulations at present is 270mm of rockwool (fibreglass). This has nearly doubled in 20 years, so many houses will not have even the minimum requirements meaning much of the heat being produced in your house is simply escaping.

We use our carefully selected and trusted loft installers for all installations ensuring the best possible workmanship and thus the best possible savings for you.

Potential savings - Depending on the existing thickness of insulation the savings can go from £25 per annum up to £175 (Figures from the energy saving trust website).
